Oscar Fashion!

I watched mainly for the red carpet fashions...and I was rooting for the ladies of The Help and George Clooney because I really really loved the movie The Descendants.

Here were my misses of the evening....

Melissa McCarthy...a lot of fashion blogs are crazy over how great she looked...this reminded me of a grandmother of the bride dress..I'm not a fan of the rouching around her chest..I think the flowy sleeves also make her look wider than she is..

I think she should have taken a couple notes from Octavia Spencer's stylist...although she might not be toothpick thin like Angelina Jolie..she looked fabulous playing to her strengths and accentuating the right areas

I'm a huge fan of J-Lo's but didn't love this dress..everyone else went for this old Hollywood glamour and I thought she stuck out a little with the plunging necklace. I also feel like she wears her hair like this to every award show.

I didn't love Meryl Streep either...it just seemed like a lot of gold material..

especially when there was one other golden girl on the red carpet to compare to Meryl...and she hit it out of the park...Here's Stacy Keibler..talk about a good looking couple!

Other favorites....

RI's own Viola Davis...loved the color and loved how she showed off those killer arms and shoulders!

Michelle Williams...another standout...love the color, the style and the texture...

Emma Stone..I loved this look!

I also loved Gwenyth Paltrow's simple look in white...

While most will probably put Angelina Jolie on the best dressed list...I wasn't a fan...this girl needs to eat a meal or two...I think she's just too skinny...it's nice to rock a high slit like that but I'm all set seeing her bony leg.

My other miss of the evening...Billy Crystal...I think his ship has sailed with hosting the Oscars...I just didn't find him to be that funny or entertaining and thought there were more awkward pauses than laughs!

SNL Kardashian skit

This past weekend a hilarious Saturday Night Live skit featuring the Kardashians was on...my favorite..poor Bruce Jenner..from the bad bowl cut, to the botox, and the weird earrings...poor guy...but it's spot on!

I know its all over the news...I'm a celebrity news junkie so I'm loving all the headlines about Kim Kardashian and her 72 day marriage. I just managed to finish her 4, yes 4, hour wedding special...it was so long I never had that big of a chunk of time to sit down and watch it. I think it's kind of funny that the day I finish watching it, Kim files for divorce.

I can't say there weren't some pretty alarming things in that silly fairytale wedding special...sure I liked all the wedding stuff...shopping at Vera Wang, looking for a venue...but there were some big red flags there too...her fiance telling her that she doesn't care who she marries and any guy could be inserted into his spot...or maybe the fact that they weren't even really speaking at their rehearsal dinner?

but...the headlines have been fun to read....I'll probably be guilty of buying US, People, and OK magazine this week....one of my favorites...

So a $10 million dollar wedding...they were married for 72 days...so every day of their marriage roughly cost about $138,000.

The profits...although she is denying she didn't make a dime...all the profits made from selling the pictures and 4 hour specials are estimated to have netted her around $17.9 million dollars...so she made around $250,000 for every day she was married.

I'm still on the fence whether I think it was a sham or not...part of me, after watching the lovely 4 hour wedding special, thinks she was 31 and just wanted to get married...it probably didn't matter who asked her...on the other hand...she made a lot of money and mom, Kris Jenner, defending her on the Today show and then immediately promoting her new book didn't sit well with me..they seem to be a money and fame whoring family all around.

There's no more denying it...

Jessica Simpson looks very pregnant....although the rumors have been circulating for some time...here she is on Sunday at LAX.

Kim K is getting married this weekend!

I must say...I'm kind of excited. I'm not really a huge Kardashian fan, since they're famous for what, really? Being Paris Hilton's friend? A reality star with the show that's really about nothing? But, I love me a good celebrity wedding..especially one I know I'll be able to watch on E! in a few weeks!

Kim's wax figure at Madame Tussauds got decked out for the big weekend.

The wax figure is wearing a $300,000 wedding gown and a $1 million necklace..not too shabby for a wax figure!

Seriously Arnold.....

Nice choice of work out apparel...might want to choose your T-shirts a little more wisely...I like how he was ever so thoughtful enough to correct the years at the bottom on the shirt as well.

I love the trend and think it's great that celebrities are taking time out of their schedules to attend with members of the Armed Forces that protect and fight for our country. I'm also interested to see who's next...because the videos are getting better and better!

Bachelor/Bachelorette Contestants get engaged!

He was the nice, good guy, landscaper from Cape Cod. We fell in love with him on his hometown date and his close knit family who was still dealing with the loss of his mom. Ali rejected him for Roberto and left him standing at the final rose ceremony.

She was the tall blond who tried to win the heart of Andy, our triathlete Navy man. Then she went on to the Bachelor Pad where she was linked to the tattooed bad boy Jesse.

Now, they're a couple made in reality tv heaven. Chris Lambton and Peyton Wright have been dating since August, 2010, and this past Saturday became engaged as Chris proposed to Peyton at his Cape Cod, MA home.

 "I knew it the first day I met her – she walked in and I was like, 'Oh, my God,'" Lambton tells PEOPLE of Wright.

"It's one of those things where I've had a ton of serious relationships and I met this kid and he was genuine, outgoing and hilarious and we just click," says Wright.

Poor Hef

This was the happy couple with the 60, yes 60, year age difference just a few months ago right around the time they announced their Christmas Eve Engagement.

85 year old Hugh Heffner and his 25 year old fiance, Crystal Harris, were set to get married this Saturday at the Playboy mansion. Earlier this week, Crystal called off the wedding.

But here's the kicker...rumor (aka Perez Hilton) has it that the 25 year old Harris is cheating on Hef with none other than Dr. Phil's son?

An insider leaks that "The wedding is off and everything has been canceled," said a source close to the couple. "Hef is in shock. Crystal bailed and left the mansion at 11pm Sunday night.

"She has a boyfriend. She is seeing Dr. Phil's son, Jordan. She thinks she is going to be living with all of Dr. Phil's millions." Crystal denies that she's seeing Dr. Phil's offspring.

I love celebrity gossip. I can't say I'm really surprised that this marriage didn't happen and the relationship didn't work out. Not that I know them or anything (obviously!) but c'mon..no one wants to date anyone older than their dad and grandfather. Everyone on their motor scooters at Disneyland...I bet it makes that age difference seem so much more apparent

Kim Kardashian is Engaged!

and engaged she is..with a 20.5 karat ring...you can see the rock and a half on her hand!

From People magazine...It was a dream come true for Kim Kardashian when she walked into her Beverly Hills home May 18. Her boyfriend of six months, New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, was waiting in her bedroom on bended knee with four words written in red rose petals: "WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

"I didn't expect this at all," Kardashian, 30, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview (out Friday) of the romantic, surprise proposal. "I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."

Humphries popped the question with a custom-designed, 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond sparkler. "I just knew I wanted it to be big," says Humphries, 26, who, with the help of Kardashian's mom Kris Jenner, planned an intimate family celebration later that evening.

Oh Mariah...

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon surprised everyone with their quickie wedding 3 years ago after briefly dating and they surprised everyone with their lovely spread of maternity photos in Life and Style magazine earlier this month.

Mariah gave birth last week and they surprised us again with the names of their twins....Moroccan and Monroe. The little boy was named Moroccan after the Moroccan themed room in Mariah Carey's home because Nick Cannon proposed to Mariah in that room. The little girl was named Monroe after Marilyn Monroe.

Monroe...ehh..not so bad but when I first read the article I thought that was the little boy's name. Moroccan..it makes me think of the Moroccan oil I used in my hair every day.

Celebrity Pregnant at 47?

As a 31 year old..this just seems nuts! But, in reading the news today, aka http://www.perezhilton.com/, Perez is reporting that Kelly Preston, wife of John Travolta maybe pregnant at the age of 47.  Age jokes aside, with the loss of their son last year and their 2 dogs this week, seems like some good news for the couple. I'm kind of expecting Martha Stewart to make her pregnancy announcement soon.
