BECOMING MRS. ALLAN

It was such a good long weekend. I wasn't too excited about it..sure, I'll take a Monday off from work, but the weather forecast wasn't looking too spectacular and we had zero plans. Maybe having low expectations made it even better when it turned out to be a weekend that really was the unofficial start of summer with all my favorite summer things....

when fruit is finally somewhat in season in New England! I make a huge fruit salad every weekend and we constantly eat it for breakfast and snacks

When dinners suddenly are eaten every single night outside...

and our evenings are spent sitting around in Adirondack chairs watching the little chickadee family that builds a nest in our birdhouse every year

it's when the pool is opened...

and the garden planted...

 yup, it definitely was the unofficial start of summer!
