What I'm Loving Wednesdays!

It's Wednesday..hump day...and one more day closer to the weekend! But..more importantly..it's What I'm Loving Wednesdays with www.littledaisymay.blogspot.com!

So..on this lovely Wednesday what exactly am I loving? This Wednesday it's spring and summer fashion! I'm already stocking up on stuff for the warm weather!

Jack Rogers has come out with their signature sandals now in a plastic jelly like shoe...I'm not sure about the bright colors..hell, I wasn't sure about the leather pair I bought for Mexico a couple months ago..but slowly they grew on me and were a great addition to a plain little sundress...so this material might be a little more appropriate if you're a beach go-er. Because I'm not girly enough to pull off a hot pink sandal..I think I'm partial to the black. As my friend told me..if Jackie O wore them..then they're good to own!
I'm also really thinking I need a nice pair of white trousers for summer. I feel like I'm messy and can picture myself sitting on something, wiping my dirty hand on my thigh or spilling dinner into my lap..so white pants might not be a wise option for a dirty gal like me...but when I see a lady in a nice summery shirt with crisp white pants..it screams summer to me and I love the look.

I'm also loving belted dressed right now. I love a great tailored dress..there's nothing better than a great, tailored, belted dress to show off your figure. I'm tall and a nice fitting belt gives me the waist I need and I always feel like a million bucks in a tailored dress with a belt!

I have a couple weddings this summer and love this dress from White House Black Market..my go to store for dresses for weddings!
If you need a little more color...dress by Anthropolgie

something a little more summer work appropriate..belted Tahari dress available at Nordstroms

and what a surprise...today's work outfit...my new dress that I scored at the Ann Taylor outlet! Just need to pair it up with a black cardigan and off to work! Thanks to Mr. Allan I didn't need the bathroom mirror to take a picture this morning :)

of course with great summer dresses and shoes..no matter what the occasion..you need a nice new pedicure. One color I'm wearing and loving right now...Damsel in a Dress by Essie!

If you didn't get into the black and very dark polishes..this deep purple gives you that dark polish feel but with a hint of purple...I bought mine at Target! Still very excited over the fact that my local Target sells Essie!!

It's so hard to get out of the door in the morning

when your adorable snuggly cat hops on your bed and looks at you with bigs eyes like this just begging you to come back to bed! The dreary weather isn't helping my cause either today!

Top 2 Tuesdays!

It's Tuesday...hey, one more day closer to Friday, but it also means it's Top 2 Tuesday with the Undomestic Momma!

This week...the top 2 things I collect...I collect a lot of things...like clothes and shoes..some other not fun stuff like suits for work..blah!

But..I'm going to do some recent stuff I'm into...since I'm a non pack rat and anti-knick knack lady...I hate clutter..so there aren't too many collections of things at my house!

1. Beauty Products

I'll admit it..I'm a Sephora-whore. I could go in that store every week and drop $200. If there's a new product, something everyone's talking about, something that was featured the best of whatever magazine..I need it! This is my make up holder...I wish the collection stopped at makeup, but it extends to face washes, moisturizers, serums, eye creams etc...So, if I'm feeling down about myself, maybe I'm feeling chubby for not having a good week at the gym, or just blah and some clothes shopping won't do the trick...I can ALWAYS find something beauty product related that will!

2. Magazines

I'm not sure if I can even list off the top of my head all the magazines I subscribe to...it's a lot..but I'll give it a shot. It goes a little something like...Shape, Fitness, Health, Cooking Light, Everyday Food, Whole Body and Soul, Self, Glamour, Marie Claire, Clean Eating, Eating Well...I'm sure there's some I'm forgetting because I tried to scale back this year by dropping Elle, Everyday with Rachel Ray, and one other. I love magazines. I'm weird about them too...I need to be the person who does the initial flip through of my magazine..I can't stand it when I get a nice, new magazine in the mail and someone grabs it and does the first flip through...it ruins it for me! But..my rationalization...they're $4 at the grocery store...if I subscribe, I save money! I am good about only keeping the cooking magazines and passing the others onto friends. I'm also good about concealing my little magazine habit...baskets under the coffee table hide them quite nicely, and I've held off all the years on subscribing to my true magazine loves...US, People, and all the other gossip weekly rags...since the weekly subscriptions are expensive! (and I'd have no room for Mr. Allan in the living room if I got all those magazines as well!

Say It Ain't So!

After just six months of marriage, Teen Mom 2 couple, Leah and Corey, are getting divorced. For those Teen Mom 2 fans...they're the couple who, after a very romantic one night stand, were expecting twins. He broke up with her after the twin girls were born once she starting to feel a little trapped at the ripe old age of 17 and started hanging out with an ex boyfriend during her stint on 16 & Pregnant. Teen Mom 2 premiered to Leah trying to woo Corey back with a homemade meal of macaroni and cheese and a Duncan Hines cake.

It worked, they moved back in together, and before you knew it she was reeling in a fishing pole with a pretty little ring on the end of it.

Weeks later, decked out in camouflage, they wed...with their girls pulled down the aisle in a little wagon and all. So, it's mind boggling that they're already separating! especially since it was 2 weeks ago that they graced the cover of US magazine!

and just six months ago he carried her over the threshold of their home

Normally I wouldn't believe the TMZ reports...but now the NY Daily News is reporting the split as well!

I guess it's reason # 237 why I'm glad I didn't get married in camouflage at age 18.

But, in all seriousness, I was a little sad to hear this..of all the whacked out chicks they find to put on this show, this couple looked like they were kind of getting the message and trying to do the right thing.

Sports Bras that keep the girls in check...

Not going to lie..this is one ugly ass bra. I don't think I've ever let Mr. Allan see me in this puppy. I call it my body armor bra mostly because, well, it fits like a piece of medieval body armor. Based on that you're probably itching to buy this right away on my glowing style review! So why do I wear it, well, I've got a big chest. It's probably a little smaller than when I was in high school, but I have a two sports bra kind of chest..you know, where one sports bra doesn't do the trick and you double up and wear one over the other to get the support you need. Small chested women are probably reading this with their jaws on their computer desks..the big chested gals know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

So, this bra is my answer to the two sports bra dilemma...it's been a saving grace to me. I have some friends who aren't fans..and I have some friends who I've told about this bra who love me for it. Also not going to lie..this is a tight fitting bra. When I bought my first one, it was like putting on my first pair of spanx and being alarmed at the suck me in feeling of it all. But, it's that tightness that keeps the girls in place and eliminates bounce..so I guess you have to pick your battle and endure if you want the solution to one problem.

So..without further ado...the Enell

I buy mine at http://www.barenecessities.com/. Why..because they always seem to have some sort of coupon code going on over there. I usually google and find something at http://www.retailmenot.com/ to knock a couple bucks off...and it's free shipping on all orders over $50. This website is great for the more expensive..aka better...bras...I wear Fantasie bras and scoop them up at some pretty cheap prices...not to mention my precious Hanky Pankys as well.

Best underwear eva...Bare Necessities had a sale on Hanky Panky 5 packs!

I wear this bra for any high impact activity..it's my running bra, my kickboxing bra, and my step aerobics bra. If I'm yoga-ing ..I opt for a less restrictive bra. My friend, T, recommended this bra from Moving Comfort. It's great for lower impact stuff, but if I'm running, I do prefer the support of the Enell.

Cali bra by Moving Comfort

So, while I might not be able to wear any cute little jazzercise tops with spaghetti straps and racerbacks, I'll hunker down in my Old Navy clearance rack graphic tees and wear my Enell bra so I don't run the risk of knocking myself out in turbo kick class!

Come Check us out!

One great thing about blogging...I've become a part of a bunch of different blog communities and have met tons of other bloggers. It's fun to see how you can feature others, link up to different blog hops, and participate in each others posts and blogs. Here's a great example!

I met Colleen from Sound Track to I Do in an online blog community. This week, Mr. Allan and I are her featured Real Wedding! I think it's quite the fabulous post...even though I may be a bit biased! Come on over and check it out!

Thanks again Colleen!

Fun Fridays!

It's Friday...TGIF!!!! It's also time for Fun Fridays with Jen from A Girl in Pearls and A Boy with Toys!

So what's in store for me this weekend?

I'm just excited Mr. Allan is home from a business trip and can't wait to hang out with him and spend some quality time together! Every Friday night, we head to a local restaurant/bar down the street from us. Our Fridays kind of remind me like a scene from that old sitcom Cheers....you know..where everyone knows your name. By the time we sit, say hello to the neighbors, the bartender has our drinks of choice poured. We eat some grub and enjoy catching up on the local town gossip.

I'm also hoping to sneak over to the mall during my lunch break ...I'm in desperate need of some make up primer and some placemats for our new dining room table. I'm thinking of giving Smashbox Primer Light a try!

If it's nice out on Saturday I hope to get out in our yard. We have a pretty big yard and it's time to tackle weeds in all the flower beds, fill up the bird feeders, put the bird houses out, get the compost pile going, get the fire pit roaring and start cleaning out my little raised bed garden. If I wait too long, I become overwhelmed with weeds! This year I'm going to try some gentler tactics..instead of the chemical weed killers...I'm going to see how a bit of salt water will kill em!

On Sunday we're hosting a little Sunday dinner and having my dad and stepmom over. I think the meal of choice will be Barefoot Contessa's Roast Chicken...one of Mr. Allan's favorite meals...click HERE to see a previous post that contains the recipe!

I'm thinking it's time to try a new dessert recipe as well! Hopefully you'll see next week if I find a new dessert recipe that's a keeper!

Hopefully if the weather cooperates, Mr. Allan and I can get out for some runs! I love that spring is here! There's nothing better than lacing up the sneakers and pounding some pavement for some good exercise!

Have a great weekend!
